Numbers.

3 more days of work before I leave to meet Adam in Texas.

Then I get 8 days off of work.

Hopefully I hear back from the guy about potential apartment guy before I leave for Texas. At which time we will owe 400, 900, or 1800 for apartment a deposit.

Hopefully only 400 because I had $300 in my account on Friday, but now I'm a lot closer to $200.

I get paid on Friday, April 26th, but I'll be out of town by that time.

My paycheck should be at least $500.

I saw 11 people under 1 portion of 1 bridge on my way into work this morning.

Cody says I can take my hair product in my carry on bag if it's under 4 ounces.

I thought it was 3 ounces, but he's probably right because he retains information better than myself.

My americano had 3 shots of espresso.

I need to do 2 loads of laundry.

I still need to shower and wash my hair before my trip, but I don't remember when I showered last. At least 7 days now, right? I really don't know. Oh well.

Whilst writing these words I listened to David Bowie sing "Five Years".

The End.

My Song of the Day

Fall Out Boy-Death Valley

I wanna see your animal side
Let it all out
I wanna see the dirt
Under your skin
I need your broken promises

I want the guts and glory baby
This town is wasted and alone

But we are alive
Here in death valley
But don't take love off the table yet
Cause tonight it's just fire alarms and losing you
We love a lot
So we only lose a little
We are alive

I wanna see your animal side
Let it all out
Oh there you go; undress to impress
You can wear the crown but you're no princess

Let's put the "D" in dirt now baby, baby
Let's get you wasted and alone

Cause we are alive
Here in death valley
But don't take love off the table yet
Cause tonight it's just fire alarms and losing you
We love a lot
So we only lose a little
We are alive

We're gonna die
It's just a matter of time
Hard times come
Good times go
I'm either gone in an instant
Or here til the bitter end
I, I never know
What I've got will make you feel more alive
I'll be your favorite drug, I will get you high
I will get you high

We are alive
Here in death valley
But don't take love off the table yet
Cause tonight it's just fire alarms and losing you
We love a lot
So we only lose a little
We are alive
We are alive

I'm over the "Ashamed to be American Shit"

But I'm also tired of politicians who we vote into office being stubborn assholes.

Take gay marriage as an example. Let's be real with each other. To me not voting it into law is makes us look just as extreme Christian as the radical Muslim countries we hate on so much. And don't tell me we don't hate. Because this country does. Not everyone. But a lot of us.

Just ready for this country to be logical again. We need more politicians to call things like it they are. Sometimes there is no black and white, sometimes there's a weird grey area and that should be addressed and we should be okay with meeting in the grey.

Let me go on record saying gay marriage... it ain't going to hurt nobody. Maybe Uncle Sam because that's more tax breaks. But I don't understand that part so maybe not so.

We need American politicians to be more real like this dude!

My Song of The Day

Against Me!- T.S.R.

The party's over
A cd's skipping
It's the same hook repeating
Grows more grating with each passing second...

And the walls contain a resonation, laughter, and conversation.
It was fun while it lasted, but now we should be going.
And I hope everybody had real, real good time
The hospitality's partaken, my head is flying my heart's racing to keep up.
And I hope I havent overdone it nooo...
I hope my body can take it. I hope I make the occasion.
It's only this fucked up I start realizing
all this living is just dying
and if these are my friends, if this is my home,
if this is how Ii spend my nights, how I communicate, and demonstrate a love of life.
My eyes roll into the back of my head, if these are the last words that I ever said
No I'm not ready to die just yet.

1 week!

Flying to Houston a week from today to meet up with Adam. From which point I will road trip back to Oregon with him! So many adventures will on the horizon!

I get to see my grandparents, the grand canyon, and all kinds of nature stuff! I'll be posting many updates: pictures, stories, etc!

Favorite Tracks off FOB's Save Rock n' Roll

So I was going to write out my thoughts on the new Fall Out Boy album, but as of now my attention span hasn't allowed such things to happen. So I'll just share my favorite tracks. If you haven't listened to the album yet then get to it!

  1. Phoenix
  2. My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)
  3. The Mighty Fall
  4. Miss Missing You
  5. Death Valley
  6. Rat A Tat
  7. Save Rock N' Roll

Seriously tried to narrow it down to five favorites and couldn't. It's a fairly solid album. Good to have the boys back kicking ass!

I discovered a new coffee shop!

Well... new to me. I have lived half a mile from this shop for 6 months and just checked it out for the first time a couple days ago.

The coffee shop is called The Arbor Lodge. It's located at the corner of N Interstate Ave and N Rosa Parks Way.

They serve locally roasted coffee and locally made pastries. Both really tasty and at a nice price. And they know about their product, too. C'mon it's Portland, Oregon. You have to know your stuff.

The atmosphere is awesome. It feels like you're hanging out in your living room. I felt very relaxed and productive during my time there. And every song that played overhead sounded like it was stole from my Itunes. Highly recommend checking this place out!
