Well Fuck...
New David Bowie Music Video
I'm not going to say I fully understand the video, but I definitely have an idea. I might dive into that thought process at a later time. As for now enjoy the third and title track "The Next Day" by David Bowie. Also starring Gary Oldman and other famous people I don't recognize.
Mostly I just hope that sick feeling in my stomach that says "this is Bowie's official goodbye" is wrong.
A Magical Evening
After work today I went to meet up with a guy about solidify renting a spot to jam on Thursday nights. I can't wait to hold a microphone again. My soul is longing to get lost in the music again. I want to play all the styles, but ready to do some heavy rock n' roll and get rowdy on the West Coast. To see what kind of chaos we can inoke.
Next, we went to the Eastbank Esplanade. Adam and Cody took pictures and naturally I posed. Perks to having photography friends is you get all kinds of pictures that look as interesting as you perceive your life to be. Well that's how it feels to me.
With that said while they took pictures I just sat/laid on the dock and let the Willamette waves sway me about. It was soothing end to a long work day. It was a comfortable 68 degrees outside and I watched the sun settle over Downtown Portland, Oregon. It doesn't get much better than that.
Shows In Portland, Oregon!
Holy Shizzzzzzzaaaa there is too much music. My brain and wallet just can't keep up. I need an "in" to all this stuff! Father John Misty, The National, Jim James, and oh so many more!! I don't have time to type it all out right now; gotta make that coffee!
AAAHHH!!! SHIT!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!
Head Conversation: Music.
I know who a lot more bands are now. You'd be impressed; I am. Or maybe not. It doesn't really matter.
Morning Happenings and Thoughts
- I appear to have misplaced my headphones. Very unfortunate.
- Man cannot live off instant potatoes alone. Veggies and Fruits are essential.
- Portland needs to cool off because I'm not ready for all this warmness yet. Lower 70 degrees please.
- I need a bookshelf and dresser.
- Our living room needs all the furniture.
- Today I hope to finally invest in a week long Trimet Pass.
- I need to draw more lines.
- I think we found a temporary practice spot to jam. Hours available: 12-4am.
- I can't wait to print this book of words.
- I'm even more stoked to get back to playing shows; to hold a microphone again!
- Life is downright odd but every bit magical. Though I get down I'm overly thankful for all it's happenings.

Ever Forget How Much You Enjoy A Band?
Then listen to them again and wonder why you ever stopped listening to them?
Maybe it's just because you found other music that peaked your interest. It happens. You fall in love with a band, but no matter what you stop listening to certain bands for a while, but there's always a handful of bands you fall in love with over and over again.
You scan through your Itunes for something to "new" to listen to, and never notice the band you really want to hear is there all along.
What I'm trying to say is I just remembered how awesome Modest Mouse is and I can't wait for them to put out their new album. It's been way too long and though their sound has evolved and transformed over the years I can honestly say I have enjoyed album immensely.
MJ Monday! Long Live The King!
The moonwalk... need I say more?
Catching Up On Our TV Shows...
We're a few weeks behind on The Office and Parks and Recreation. Sunday night catch up is a must.
Shot another Episode of A.B. TV...
It was a bit of a challenge, but I think with the end result will be satisfactory.
The Adam, Cody, and I went up to Rocky Butte; which is actually an extinct volcano. The skies were clear blue and Mt. St Helens and Mt. Hood were majestically towering in the distance. I would have taken pictures but, Iphone 4 wouldn't do it justice.
Either way the view was totally worth it all. Ooh and met a rad dude named Gino. He knew a lot of cool stuff and hope to get to know him better in the future.
I Learned An Important Lesson This Weekend...
Vodka is an evil bitch. As enticing as she sounds she only means to do you harm. She will fuck you up; ripping out your stomach and soul. You can take my advice or laugh at my stupidity; as for me I'll stick to Jack Daniels.
Also...
I have a queen size bed again and it feels fucking great! Thanks Adam.

I've made a lot of friends...
But none of them compare to the awesomeness of Smoggie Catt.
My Day Started at 6pm...
Last night was fun though.
Unpacking Boxes... Need New Music...
I need some new music. Need something Indie/Progressive yet intriguing. Any suggestions? Somewhere between The Strokes and Destroyer and Radiohead. Someone make that happen for me.
Today There Will Be Lots of Heavy Music...
Blaring in my ears and pouring from my soul.
Just one of those days.
New Apartment Means New Bus Routes
And I just had the other one down to a precise scientific equation.
Sleep until 18 minutes before Max comes, 12 minutes to get ready, 6 minutes to speed walk to Max stop.
