Snails and Rain

The rain clouds have returned to Portland, Oregon and all the neighborhood snails are making the migration across the great concrete plain.

These aren't the best pictures as I was in a hurry. I'll try to document their great migration at a later time. They were very magnificent creatures nonetheless.

Game Of Thrones

Quote from end of last episode that I found really badass:

“Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is. But they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.” - Littlefinger

Flying Cat Coffee Shop

photo 2 (5).JPG

In my ongoing quest to find the ultimate coffee shop in Portland, Oregon I happened upon Flying Cat Coffee Shop today. As you probably know my best friend is a black cat thus making this a must check out.

The presentation wasn't try hard like some Portland shops. It was nice; pleasant and simple. Kind of like sitting in your grandma's living room with a restaurant in it. The kind of place you want to get away and get some work done. Not the kind of place you find a lot hipsters trying to impress their friends. There wasn't a lot of people in there when I went, but I presume it's a very family friendly shop.

My coffee was pleasant, but my favorite part was the pastry. They also serve breakfast food and sandwiches but I did not that this go round. Maybe another time, but definitely recommend this shop.

I'm Not Even Exaggerating

In case you don't know Smoggie is normally very chill and not intrusive in the least first thing in the morning. She lies there beside me for hours, but not lately. She won't even ask for food until I'm up.

Every since moving into this new apartment Smoggie Catt will pester me to get up all morning, but it's not for food or water. Sometimes food, but mostly she has food already.

I just discovered why. She just wants me to hang out with her. For real, I'm finally up and she is just sitting here talking with me. I love my fuzzy weirdo.

I Have A Date Tonight!

I have a date tonight with a long, lost lover: music.

I'm playing music with the only two people who fully understand my heart and soul when it comes to music: Adam Duckworth and Cody Pulliam.

It'll be the first time we've plugged up and played loudly since Nausicaa came to an end in December 2011. I'm so ready to hold that mic in my hand again and see what kind of magic happens.

I sold my soul to rock n' roll, and I have so longed for what is soon to happen. There's a special kind of madness that comes with heavy rock n' roll. I can't explain it, but I know it owns my soul.

Vanity, Insanity, And All Things Vulgar

Did I get your attention? I hope so. New A.B. TV episode tonight at 7pm PST. It's about wild plastic bags and how they are trying to take over the world. I

In the mean time read my head thought I somehow miraculously typed out. I spent the last few days trying to write it all out. It's a bit lengthy, but I typed into small blocks because I know it's hard to focus on one big word block.
