Going To See Father John Misty Tonight!

I keep forgetting the show is tonight, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited!

FJM is single handedly the biggest inspiration in me getting back into the music scene.

Father John Misty has taught me to just be yourself, not worry about grammer, and let the music move you, it's okay to be vain as fuck in terms of your music (you're a fucking artist you're supposed to take pride in your work), and most importantly WHY SO SERIOUSSSSS?

It doesn't matter if you're awkward, vain, shy, angry: if you love music it'll show.

Father John Misty, I cannot wait to see you tonight. Maybe this time I'll get a conversation with this rad as fuck dude.

Stayed Up The Entirety Of The Night

Stayed up the entirety of the night tracking vocals for some songs to this new project Adam, Cody, and I have been working on.

It's been a while since I stood behind a mic, but I'm finding my voice again. It's evolved a bit I'd like to think. Going all out on this one.

Now to MAYBE sleep, but DEFINITELY cuddle with the Smoggie Catt and listen to some rain fall on the roof.

Also this...

Lunar Warning!

Full Moon this Friday night, May 24th which means people will be acting like fools (ha! get it.. fools.. full moon) and you're patience is probably paper thin.

We can't control the moon's pull, but we have rational thoughts so be patient with your fellow manimal we're all in this shit storm together. It'll all be over soon.

Morning Coffee Head Thoughts

  • Humans swarming around the condiment bar for their coffee needs reminds me of cows herding around fresh hay, pigs around a trough, and bees buzzing around a hive.
  • Bon Iver is still my go to grey day music.
  • If the steady continues I may finally get my "rainy, cartoon chill day" I've so desperately wanted lately.
  • "Lump Sum" by officially my favorite track by Bon Iver.
  • The coffee shop I work at is completely too small for the amount of traffic that passes through.
  • I often wonder what kind of things future civilizations will look back at in a couple hundred years and think "why would they have ever done that?"
