Such an amazing soul.
I don't know my own feels. Meow.
Let it simmer...
Deja Entendu was released 10 years ago today. Let their be no mistake what I'm listening to at this moment. Thank you Brand New for such an awesome album.
2:35 am:
The only way to explain my feelings at this moment is to say life as of late feels like a Father John Misty's album Fear Fun.
That probably makes sense to no one but me. But I still want to share these feels all the same.
Also I need a haircut.
Lastly, I love Portland, Oregon. This place is even more magical than I previously believed.
The trees of Laurelhurst Park in Portland, Oregon are some of the most majestic I've met to date.
Now is the time we spend our every dime. Tomorrow we can worry about paying bills on time. But tonight we drink our whiskey and walk amongst the night.
I want to sing in a band that sounds like a mix of Arcade Fire, The White Stripes, and Portugal. The Man, The National, and Pedro The Lion.
If that's even possible to do; i don't know. I don't play instruments. I just want to be part a bottle crushing, whiskey drinking, joint smoking, story telling rock n' roll band.
Well I know I'm kind of late on this one. I've been hearing this band's name a while (and though their name was very intriguing) I never took the time to look them up. But hoooolllyyyyy shit these dudes are legit.
They are like M83, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Alt-J, and more I'm sure; all rolled into one giant burrito of awesome!
I'm sure I'm the last one to have listened to them, but if you haven't done so give them a listen. I don't think you'll regret it.
There are times when feelings (and head thoughts) are beyond words and all you can do is revert back to the most primal of all man's literature; drawings. I literally cannot stop drawing on any and everything for almost a week now.
When you can't decide what to listen to and change bands after every track and a half. Totally happening all afternoon. Blah!
When did ice become a standard addition to beverages? I think it's mostly economical. Add more ice, pour less beverage. Thus the business makes more money and with time it's just become standard. Just a thought. Can anyone confirm or deny that?
It's not I want to share ignorance at it's worst on my blog. I just can't pretend it doesn't happen. Speak out against stupidity. Here's the link to the article.
Sincerely Belated and Guaranteed Overrated. I present to you all: Martha.
Martha is a lovely lady. We met on my walk home from Laurelhurst Park in Portland, Oregon. I knew as soon as we met that our meeting was no accident.
We are like potatoes and cheese, almonds and dried cranberries, Red Stripe and humid Florida porches, polar bears and coca cola, pop tart wrappers and raccoons... well you get the point!
I do have some unfortunate news though. It is with a heavy heart and busy mind I regret to inform all you wonderful people that my colleague Cody Pulliam and I have decided to take a few weeks off of A.B. TV to refocus and get our shit together.
We will start back on July 4th just in time for the Independence Day Celebrations of the Great United States of America with an episode I'd like to called: "No One Raises Torches Anymore" based on a recent blog post of mine.
We may be taking a few weeks off, but I promise it's for good reason. I really enjoy doing these videos. Getting to share my madness with everyone of you creatures brings me great satisfaction, but it's work and rushed work is sloppy work; and that's no fun for the viewer.
In the mean time you can: like Smoggie Catt's Facebook, drink some beer, check out my Kickstarter Campaign, eat some potatoes (because they're amazing) and get ready for some real magic to begin!
Love and Magic!
